1/2 Billy Wingrove
Billy has been the forefront when it comes to football freestyle since 2003, partnering up with world leading brands such as Nike and Adidas whilst working alongside prominent stars. He has seen football freestyle grow and cultivate into what it is today, a sport in its own right as well as a global marketing tool. Only a few people saw the slender opportunities that football freestyle had to offer and with only a handful of great performers around Billy preserved an admirable work ethic and with his outstanding attitude, will and determination he has created a name for himself. He’s had more hits on YouTube than any other football freestyler (one video toppling up to over 26 million views).
Starting professionally as a freestyler in 2003, he became the first football freestyler to be signed by a professional football club, sealing the deal with his boyhood club Tottenham Hotspur whilst acting as a global ambassador for sides such as AC Milan. Billy also released a football freestyle DVD, becoming the first freestyler to ever do so. Since then he’s performed at countless events, choreographed innumerable adverts for clients from the likes of four-time Ballon D’or winner and Argentine/Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi to the entire Manchester United football squad as they watched on and followed orders.
Billy is certainly one of the most experienced football freestylers in the world. He is an illustrious performer with a great deal of experience and supreme professionalism, knowing what stunts he needs to pull to please his crowd. He has a vast majority of experience in providing skills and moves for motion capture shots for films, video games and TV commercials.
December last year saw Billy work alongside renowned sportsman Kobe Bryant and Lionel Messi as he choreographed the Turkish Airlines advert which reportedly many named the ad of the year. The advert went on to receive immense publicity as it reportedly surpassed 20 million YouTube views within its first week of release. Billy has surely played the role of the unsung hero on plentiful occasions in his career as did Jeremy, starring as body doubles on major TV and advertising roles such as Pro Evolution Soccer with the footballing greats or World Cup winning players such as Italian stallion and Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero. Billy has certainly played more roles in modern advertisement than the majority are aware of. Having worked on so many shots himself, he is well aware of what is required from the athletes, demonstrating photographer’s needs down to the finest detail.
With no doubt or hesitation Billy Wingrove is one of the best, if not the number one freestyler in his profession, bringing his wealth of experience, showmanship and inventive vision to the F2.
2/2 Jeremy Lynch
Jeremy Lynch is the other half of the boundless duo. He was a former Arsenal youth academic player which didn’t let the blow of being released early stop him from making a dream career out of his footballing ability. He was also a part of Bafta nominated sports documentary ‘In the Hands of God’ where himself and four British freestylers travelled to Argentina in their pursuit to meet their idol, Diego Maradona. Jeremy is an excellent performer, flaunting a great combination of showmanship, dance with a comedic edge. He’s filmed with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Robin Van Persie to name a few!
He kicked off his freestyling career with a bang entering Nike’s Freestyle World Championships where he came out on top, winning a contract under Lucozade. From this point onwards his career has reached sky high, playing major roles in both TV and advertisement.
He is widely regarded as one of the finest football freestylers in the profession bringing his magnetic wit and charm Jeremy adds a strong element of entertainment to the gifted duo. Rocketing to stardom when he successfully auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent bowing out in the semi final stage of the competition, it’s safe to say he won over the hearts of the national. From that high to another he rose up and continued to persist, moulding into the freestyling phenomenon that he is today.
Back to the F2
The F2 Freestylers are widely regarded as the best freestyle footballing act in the world, and the ultimate in football entertainment. They have performed all over the globe at international events working with some very high profile clients.
One of the first jobs the F2 took on as part of their double act was at the prestigious 2010 World FIFA Ballon D’or ceremony the year in which Lionel Messi bagged the award of the evening as he secured his second consecutive FIFA World Player of the Year title.
