Simon Maryan
Psychology Therapist and Hypnotist
Simon Maryan is a former Royal Marine, UKSF and Human Intelligence Specialist. He is now an internationally recognised speaker, trainer and author specialising in Military Trauma and PTSD, behavioural change and psychological resiliency.
Simon is a published author in the fields health, wellness and psychology and delivers training courses based on his work.
He has been kidnapped three times and teaches resiliency for kidnap and ransom and was the closing speaker at the annual Training Conference of the NYPD Hostage Negotiation Team and the NY Association of Hostage Negotiators in Dec 2017.
In January 2018, he founded a non-profit to provide fast, effective mental health treatment for military, veterans and emergency services called ICARUS Online. ICARUS is an acronym for Immediate Care, Assessment and Rehabilitation for Uniformed Services.
Simon has presented to, coached and trained personnel for large multi-national corporations worldwide, delivering psychological resiliency programmes and has consulted globally for thousands of individuals and teams.
Simon has worked in extreme environments and conditions for over 20 years providing coaching, training and consulting in the military, public and private sectors, as well as provided leadership coaching and training for C. level executives and leaders
He has facilitated an innovative pilot drug and alcohol addiction programme in Scotland and designed and built an online course designed to teach people mental strength, resilience and the necessary skills to change their mindset, thought patterns, beliefs and behaviours in order to change their lives.
