Taking great influence in vintage Motown and Jazz from a young age, Jocee has crafted her own contemporary sound. She compliments the beauty of her unique tone, with an energetic 8 piece band including bass, brass and powerful backing vocals.
Jocee currently holds a residency at the acclaimed Blues Kitchen Shoreditch, where she tempts the late night revellers to dance past their last tubes. Think Joss Stone meets Jocelyn Brown in a Jazz Café in London, and herald your hope in the scene that would unfold for true music lovers everywhere.
Debut album ‘Just love,’ carries us through Jocees first-hand experiences as an unashamed optimist. The record journeys from heart-ache to happiness, with each track playing out her history with touching honesty. Penned simply with ebony and ivory, ‘Special love’ pulls depth from it’s fragility and classic soul; whilst title track ‘Just Love’ brings joyous lyrics with a big-band backdrop.
After being played on BBC introducing, recently supporting The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show & Loose Ends. She looks forward to a future spreading life’s vibrant melody to the soul searchers of the world.
