Originally discovering an instinctual talent for creating scented products by hand in her kitchen, in 2010, Jo turned her talents to television presenting making her debut on BBC One in the four part series ‘High Street Dreams’, which saw her using her business experience and entrepreneurial spirit to help small businesses realise their dreams of trading on the great British high street. The show successfully helped to create six new British Brands.
Possessing a head full of ideas and the desire to build another business after the sale of Jo Malone London, she decided to return to the beauty industry and in November 2011, five years after leaving the brand, she launched her new trademark JO LOVES – an innovative new scent, bath, body and candle collection inspired by the memories and moments in life that she loves.
In her presentations Jo explains how she made it from council house to her own multi-million pound company. She reveals the successes, the failures, the challenges (both personal and commercial) and the motivation behind her achievements: “In the end, I always see myself as the girl in the store making face creams.”
