The UK's leading female sports presenter Sue Barker MBE is a household name. Sue has established herself over the last ten years as the BBC’s anchor for all of their main sports broadcasts fronting television coverage of The Olympics, Wimbledon, The Grand National and Sports Personality of the Year. A Question of Sport has also contributed to making Sue a household name.
The UK's leading female sports presenter, Sue is a British Grand Slam wining former tennis champion who was crowned as the French open winner in 1976 and also reached the semifinals at both Wimbledon and the Australian Open. Sue won the last singles title of her career at Brighton in 1981, finishing the year ranked World No. 16.
Upon retiring from tennis Sue became a commentator and sports reporter for Australia's Channel 7 in 1985 before going on to anchor tennis coverage for British Sky Broadcasting in 1990. In 1993, Sue joined the BBC team to present their Wimbledon coverage and now anchors the two week long broadcast for the network. She has since branched out becoming one of their chief sports presenters and is the long standing host of A Question Of Sport which she begun in 1997.
