Michael Pritchard is a water-treatment expert, best known for inventing the Lifesaver bottle, a hand held bottle which filters water using non chemical nano-filtration.
One of Michael's greatest contributions is the Lifesaver bottle. The inspiration for this groundbreaking invention came about after seeing the devastation following the tsunami of December 2004 and hurricane Katrina in 2005. Despite the vast amount of water involved in both disasters, there was a desperate lack of fresh, clean water.
The Lifesaver bottle is the world's first all-in-one ultra filtration water bottle. It removes bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi and all other microbiological waterborne pathogens without using chemicals. The bottle produces filtered sterile drinking water quickly and easily from contaminated water, making the large-scale delivery of drinking water to emergency hit areas practical.
Able to filter 6,000 litres of water, the Lifesaver bottle physically shuts off upon expiry, in order to protect the consumer.
The bottle's technology and the problems Michael's company, Lifesaver Systems have had to overcome makes for an insightful and inspiring talk at your next event.
Michael's broad-based audiences include corporate employees, healthcare workers, educators, students, government and state officials who have honored him with countless standing ovations and numerous awards.
