Michael Eisner is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Walt Disney Company, a post he held from 1984 to September 2005.
Michael Eisner is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Walt Disney Company, a post he held from 1984 to September 2005.
He served as Chairman of the Board at Disney from 1984 to March 2004. Prior to joining the Company, Michael was President and Chief Operating Officer of Paramount Pictures Corp., which was then a wholly owned subsidiary of Gulf+Western Industries, Inc.
Prior to joining Paramount in 1976, Michael was Senior Vice President, Prime Time Programming, for ABC Entertainment, a division of the American Broadcasting Company, Inc. He was responsible for the development and supervision of all prime-time series programming, limited series movies made for television and the acquisition of talent.
Since leaving Disney, Michael has been involved in a spectrum of television and film production. In 2005 he hosted The Charlie Rose Show, filling in for Rose. His performance impressed CNBC President Mark Hoffman and as a result was offered his own talk show, Conversations with Michael Eisner. Also in 2007, Michael took over Topps Co., the well-known bubblegum collectables firm.
Michael is currently filming a mock-documentary style television show about his takeover of the Topps company, called "Back on Topps".
Michael is credited with many of the greatest achievements in the history of entertainment; his speech topics include "Leadership: Succeeding by failing and other paradoxes" and they promise to be as innovative and inspired as his achievements.
