      West Ham F.C. Vice Chariman, Lord Alan Sugar's aide on the hit show 'The Apprentice' and one the UK's leading business women, Karren Brady is an inspirational figure. Passionate and straight-talking, she has become one of the business world's most popular motivational and after-dinner speakers.

      Karren Brady became MD of Birmingham City at the age of 23 and left in 2009. During that time she turned the club's fortunes around and became recognised as the first woman in football.

      Karren gives a compelling account of her unstoppable success, with plenty of insights, advice and anecdotes gained from her colourful career in football, publishing and business leadership. Covering areas including motivation, achieving goals, leading and building teams, delivering change, marketing, business, entrepreneurship, management skills and women in business.

      Karren Brady is a British broadcasting and sport business manager. She began her career at LBC when she was 18 years old, moving swiftly on to Saatchi & Saatchi as junior Account Handler. She joined Sports Newspapers Ltd in 1988 and impressively, became a director within a year.

      Karren is now known as the first woman in football. Former Managing Director of Birmingham City Football Club Karren famously turned the Club's fortunes around taking over Birmingham City when it was in administration. In her first year at the helm, the Club recorded a financial trading profit. In 1996 the Club made an overall profit for the first time and in February 1997 the Club launched on the Stock market valued at the time of float at £25m. In 2007 her business was valued at over £60m.

      Karren has attracted a great deal of media attention in her position, and was the subject of an hour-long documentary 'Inside Story' - The Real Life Manageress' shown on BBC 1. She has hosted her own TV show, Brady Bunch, and has also presented both ITV favourites, Loose Women and Live Talk.

      Karren has written four books; a factual account of her first season at Birmingham City, Brady plays the Blues two novels, United and Trophy Wives. Her latest book, Playing to Win is about successful women in business.

      Karren is a columnist for The Sun newspaper, The Evening Mail in Birmingham, and The Guardian. She is also on the business Board of Scope, and is the Ambassador for Birmingham Women's Aid. Karren is Chairman of Kerrang! (EMAP), and a Board Director of Mothercare PLC, Channel 4 Television and Sport England. She is an honoree Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing.

      In 2004 and again in 2006, Karren attended The Queen's lunch for Women Achievers and Business Leaders. She was acknowledged as one of the most influential women in Britain by the Daily Mail and voted as one of Britain's Most Inspirational Women by Good Housekeeping magazine. In November 2006 she won a Cosmopolitan Woman of the Year award, in the category of Women Who Have Changed the World.

      In 2008 Karren won the coveted NatWest Sprit of Everywoman Award, was named as one of the top leadership role models in a national poll, Appears as a guest interviewer in The Apprentice and launches Today's Business Woman magazine.

      2009 sees Karren appointed Chairman of the England 2018 World Cup bid advisory board, repeats her guest interviewer role in the new series of The Apprentice.

      Another incredibly successful year: 2010 Appointed vice-chairman of West Ham United FC, Stars in The Apprentice as Lord Sugar's assistant, replacing Margaret Mountford, gets named in the business category of The Sunday Telegraph's 100 Most Powerful Women in Britain, and the Evening Standard's list of London's 1000 Most Influential People.

      2011 is certainly shaping up to be another exciting and triumphant year.
