Duncan Wardle is the Vice President of International Marketing for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
Born and raised in Scotland, Duncan previously served as PR director for the Walt Disney Company in Europe, where he supervised four in-house teams and two external agencies responsible for all PR campaigns conducted across Europe, including the launch of Disneyland Paris.
Few organisations can rival the Walt Disney Company in their ability to align the creative with brand. Duncan provides an inside look at how Walt Disney's executive teams blend imagination, Public Relations and Marketing to maintain a high profile, generate news and create magic.
His presentations showcase how clients can evaluate PR campaigns and how they can use their findings to refine future programmes. His unique approach rejuvenates thinking and offers a few surprises along the way.
Duncan graduated from Napier University in 1986 and began his career with the Walt Disney Company as a junior publicist in the London office in 1987. He transferred to the US in 1997. Major campaigns he has led during the past three years include the launch of Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney Cruise Line and the Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration.
His excellent visual presentations are both stimulating and entertaining, making Duncan Wardle a highly sought-after speaker and motivator who brings a touch of Disney magic with him.
IABC (The International Association of Business Communicators) gave the following testimony to Duncan's colourful and stimulating presenting style, "Out of the three general sessions, the most memorable was [with] Duncan Wardle, Vice President of International Marketing for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. It was content-rich, he had wonderful visual examples and the grand finale of 20-foot puppets from Disney's Tapestry of Nations was breathtaking. Attendees left invigorated to start the day's activities. Wardle definitely made an impression on everyone."
