Dr. David Lewis BSc(Hons) DPhil, FISMA. FINSDT. C. Psychol. is a psychologist, author and award winning broadcaster. He is a Chartered Psychologist, earning his Doctorate from The University of Sussex, and a Fellow of both the International Stress Management Association and the Institute of Directors. He is a member of the Marketing Society, the Market Research Society and the Institute of Direct Marketing.
Dr. Lewis has written scores of best selling books on many aspects of psychology most of which have been translated into dozens of languages. His publications include The Secret Language Of Your Child (a US best-seller), Your Child's Drawings, Their Hidden Meaning and The Secret Language Of Success, amongst many others.
In 1972 Dr. Lewis founded a charity Action on Phobias and wrote a best selling book on the treatment of phobic disorder Fight Your Phobia and Win that helped to raise funds. His interest in, and personal experience of, the business world has resulted in several books for managers and executives, including: How to Get Your Message Across - A Practical Guide to Power Communication, Winning New Business, and How to Plan and Deliver Successful Sales Presentations.
His journalism includes several years as "agony uncle" for two mass circulation US publications, Woman's Weekly and First magazines. In the UK he has written regular columns on family and health matters for Living magazine and Best!
David has appeared on numerous US TV shows around the nation, programmes including Good Morning America. He has frequently been interviewed on radio, including by Larry King. He is a highly experienced in television and is resident psychologist on British Breakfast Television GMTV. He has presented numerous programmes for both BBC and commercial television. For four years he produced a regular feature for commercial radio Lewis on Life, and his sports series Sporting Partnerships for BBC Radio 5 Live ran for three seasons and won a Sony award.
Dr. Lewis has lectured in the USA, Europe and Far East for almost two decades, working for companies such as Glaxo, Merck, Prudential Insurance, British Airways, IBM, British Telecom, Nortel, and AMP among many others. He has been a keynote speaker at the Tarrytown conference centre and toured the US on behalf of the Kettering Foundation. His speaking topics include: The New Consumer What This Means For Your Company; Motivation and Peak Performance; Body Language and Communication; Stress Management; and Creativity.
