Dev can be heard presenting the massive BBC Radio 1′s early breakfast show weekdays from 0400-0630.
Dev has also presented his own show recently on The 5:19 Show: Gaming for BBC Switch. The show was a gaming special and ran for 6 episodes, reviewing the latest video games for all the major consoles as well as online games.
Before he joined the presenting team at Radio 1 in September 2009, he presented the early weekday breakfast show on Radio 1′s sister station, BBC 1Xtra before moving to weekend breakfast on Radio 1 between July and September 2009.
Dev joined 1Xtra when the station launched in 2002 presenting a Saturday show alongside Reggie Yates.
While Londoner Dev fronted the early breakfast show on 1Xtra he also fitted in a full time college course in Music and is now potentially looking to continue studying for a University degree alongside his Radio 1 commitments!
Dev enjoys learning about music and this wasn’t the first time he has combined studying with presenting. Whilst he completed his A Levels in 2002, Dev co-presented Smile, a CBBC morning show, alongside Reggie and Fearne Cotton.
Dev has attended The Anna Scher Theatre School, acting in a number of productions for The Royal Shakespeare Company and The National Youth Music Theate before turning to TV and Radio. Dev is a hugely talented guitarist and musician, his passion for all music and extensive music knowledge is clearly heard within his radio show.
As well as all that, Dev has a huge passion for video games. He especially loves fighting games and Street Fighter ranks as one of his favourites! In 2009, Dev opened M Festival – the largest electronic games festival in the UK and one of the premium gaming events in Europe.
