David now combines his successful speaking career with other media commitments, these include hosting cable TV shows, writing articles, and appearing as a regular guest on various national programmes including Five Live, Radio 2's Jeremy Vine Show, BBC News 24, and Sky News. 

Prior to joining bmibaby, David spent 4 years living and working in South Carolina, USA. Amongst other things he wrote a very successful weekly humour newspaper column and hosted his own talk show on a cable TV channel . In addition to after-dinner speaking, David now can use a Powerpoint slide presentation that accompanies his material. This has been really well received when used (primarily at larger events and award ceremonies where AV is in use).
