Danny Wallace is a British filmmaker, comedian, writer and presenter of radio and television.

Danny began his career at the BBC. He was part of the production team behind such shows as Dead Ringers, the critically acclaimed cult hit The Mighty Boosh, and Ross Noble Goes Global.

Danny is predominantly known for his books or "stupid boy projects" as his wife once dubbed them. His first solo work, Join Me, was published in 2003. The book tells the story of Danny's journey as he sets out to create his own cult, encouraging his "joinees" to make the world a better place.

Off the back of Join Me, Danny wrote the short book, Random Acts of Kindness: 365 Ways To Make the World A Better Place. It includes many humorous "RaoK" ideas, such as "Contradict Demeaning Graffiti", and "Hide a surprise under someone's pillow. (Horses' heads are discouraged)"

Danny's next book, Yes Man was published in July 2005. In it, he describes how he spent six months "saying Yes where one would have said No", to make his life more interesting and positive. A film adaptation of Yes Man starring Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel was released on 19 December 2008.

In 2008, Danny's most recent book, Friends Like These, was published. It follows Danny as he spends the summer trying to track down his old school friends.

As a journalist, Danny has worked for The Guardian, and The Independent. He currently has a column in the free weekly publication Shortlist and writes blogs for doyoutravel.com.

In 2005 Danny presented a Bafta award winning documentary comedy for the BBC, How to Start Your Own Country, in which he started his own micro-nation, "Lovely", in his East London flat. Beginning late August 2005 he co-presented He's Having a Baby with Davina McCall. In 2006 he presented a new entertainment quiz for the BBC called School's Out, in which celebrities were quizzed on school subjects. Danny has appeared on many other programmes including Test The Nation, Castaway, Big Brother's Little Brother, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Celebrity Mastermind and The Weakest Link amongst others.

Danny is currently recording for his new BBC radio show, New World Order. He is also filming a pilot, Mezmerized, a hypnotism based entertainment show.
