After a very successful event the year before (which Vernon Kay had hosted) this year had a lot to live up to. The process of finding the right host for this group can take up to 6 months, as the event needs a host with a high profile, great personality and is flexible to work with. The hosts duties include hosting the main day event, followed by a 'meet and greet' with staff members and an awards ceremony on the same evening. After much consideration the client offered this years event, at the NEC Birmingham, to GMTV's Ben Shephard, who fulfilled the expectations of the client perfectly. After a pre-event meeting with the client Ben was 100% on board with a full understanding of the clients needs. On the day Ben, who presented alongside the MD and Regional Sales Managers, was absolutely fantastic. He involved himself in the 'Bond' theme of the event - even going so far as to play the part of a 'Bond Baddie', presenting a Karaoke section and a Wii Sport Team Challenge. The Client commented that, whatever the situation, Ben adapted seamlessly and always seemed to be one step ahead of everyone else. The final part of the evening was again hosted by Ben, with JBA supplying a Shirley Bassey Tribute Act, singing songs based around the James Bond theme and the grand finale of the evening was a performance by Queen Tribute band 'Killer Queen', who performed once again to a specific brief, when they adapted a Queen song and incorporated lyrics to tie in with the clients event message.
