Anna Catalano is a businesswoman specialising in Marketing and Branding and the former Vice President of Marketing for BP Amoco. She was responsible for the repositioning of the BP brand, launched in 2000 as well as shifting the mindset of a product orientated firm to one with a customer-driven approach.

Anna served as Group Vice President, Marketing, for BP plc from 2000 until the end of 2003. Ms. Catalano was responsible for the repositioning of the BP brand, launched in 2000 as well as shifting the mindset of a product-orientated firm to one with a customer-driven approach. During her capacity as the head of the marketing, she worked closely with the executive team in developing robust retail, packaged goods, and business marketing strategies by creating a disciplined approach to advertising and sponsorship, brand management, marketing performance management, and capability development.
With more than 20 years of experience in the oil industry, Ms. Catalano's professional career began in 1982 as a sales associate with Amoco. She held a variety of sales and marketing assignments across the U.S in the downstream petroleum business. Executive positions include senior marketing and sales positions, technical R&D, and international business development.
In 1995 she served as President, Amoco Orient Oil Company in Beijing, China, where she successfully transacted Amoco's first downstream joint venture. At the time of the BP Amoco merger she was Senior Vice President, Sales Operations. Shortly thereafter in 1999 she was named Group Vice President of BP's downstream business in the developing markets, including Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.
Ms. Catalano serves as a non-executive director on the board of Aviva, plc, and is a member of the remuneration committee. Her outside interests include public speaking on the topics of marketing and branding, and active involvement in mentoring and the topic of advancement of women in business. She holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. In 2001 she was recognized on Fortune's ranking of "The Most Powerful Women in International Business".
Ms. Catalano and her husband Joel have two children, ages 11 and 9, and reside in their homes in London and Vero Beach, Florida.
