Andy is an enthusiastic, versatile and charming presenter with boundless energy and natural ability.
Andy was a 2012 Dancing on Ice contestant after recently leaving Blue Peter where he was a senior presenter. He was nominated twice for the prestigious presenter of the year Children’s BAFTA and subsequently nominated with Blue Peter the year later for Best Factual Programme.
Andy recently finished filming a film for BBC2 Switch about teenagers in the remote island of Unst, Scotland, and is also presenting ‘All Over The Place’ for BBC2. He recently hosted the hugely publicized Big Assembly for The Pope which was broadcasted live across the globe. Through Blue Peter he has had opportunities to document on AIDS in Malawi for an appeal sponsored by Unicef, spent 6 weeks in Bolivia, been choreographed by Michael Jackson’s choreographer, performed in the Lords of the Rings musical and even bungee jumped out of a helicopter. He has many highlights from his career so far, notably hosting a tea party with The Queen, presenting to an audience on children at Downing Street and orchestrating a gold badge ceremony for Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton to name a few, further cementing his passion for working with people.
As a presenter he has had great experience from guest presenting on CBBC’s Safari 8 to the established art show SM:ART. Andy most recently presented the BBC Red Button coverage of the London Mini-Marathon and also commentated on The World Cup for CBBC Andy also co-presented a show held in front of a 3,000 strong crowd to celebrate 50 years of Blue Peter, the most established children’s programme in the country. Andy also voiced a BBC documentary investigating the difficulty of children suffering with stammers.
