17 year old Amelia Lily from Middlesbrough wowed the judges in her 2011 X Factor audition with a mature and confident version of “Take Another Piece Of My Heart“ before being sadly voted out in the first week of the live shows, when a shock twist left the judges voting out one of their own acts.

In the following weeks however, Amelia was voted back into the competition by the public – and certainly showed what she was made of with a powerful come-back queen performance of “The Show Must Go On”. Her performances of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and Avril Lavigne’s “I’m With You” gained her praise from judge Louis Walsh for the “best vocal performance of the night” and a place in the final three. Amelia finished in a spectacular 3rd place after blowing away 10,000 X Factor fans at Wembley.
