Host of the XFM Breakfast show, Alex is a huge music fan. He has presented several large scale and prestigious live music events such as the Reading Festival, Party in the Park and the huge Tsunami Benefit gig at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium. Alex has also made various TV appearances, including: Popworld (C4), Space Cadets: The Satellite Show for E4, Balls of Steel (C4) and Celebrity Scissorhands (BBC Three) for Children in Need.

When Alex isn’t on TV or on the airwaves he manages to fit in DJ-ing at Universities and clubs across the country. Available for bookings now.

Alex is best known for hosting the XFM Breakfast show, weekdays from 6-10am. Since joining the station in May 2007 he has attracted several A-List stars including Sir Paul McCartney and Ricky Gervais.

He also presents the very popular C4 music show, ‘MobileAct Unsigned’ which is on Sundays at 12.35pm. The show sees Alex and the panel of experts (Jo Whiley, Alex James and Simon Gavin) scour the country in search of a fantastic new band, the grand finale is aired mid December and the winner gets a record deal with prestigious Universal Records. Guest judges on the show have included Lily Allen, Calvin Harris and Mutya Buena.

Like many budding DJ’s Alex found his feet on student radio, and it was here that he was spotted by fellow comedian and former XFM presenter Ricky Gervais, who invited him down to meet with XFM bosses. This lead to Alex presenting the 10 - 1 slot on Saturday mornings, which he jokingly referred to as the Gervais warm up show. He is rare amongst his contemporaries, writing his own scripts wherever possible. A talented and credible comedy writer, Alex’s credits also include ‘The Eleven O’clock Show’ (C4), ‘Smack The Pony’ (C4) and ‘The Sketch Show’ (ITV1).
